Updates

The job I wanted from my current bank went to the woman who I figured would be the better choice. Never heard from the other place, so that's a definite no. I'm trying to get hired by my church, position of Administration Coordinator aka Secretary. If that works out, I'd also like to see if I could become the Children's Ministry Coordinator. I currently serve in the nursery at church and I love kids. I also have talents/gifts in administration and leadership so I think that could be a decent fit for me as a job. The administrative talents/gifts would help as a secretary as well.

I find that, professionally, I have little to no ambitions. Vocationally, I don't care. I really want to work for my church, not as a pastor/missionary per say, but definitely as an elder some day. Of course, that requires a wife and kids in obediance (as I understand Scripture) and I have neither. I also, and I hear from my more feministic friends that it's pretty progressive, would LOVE to be a stay at home dad. Just gotta find me a career woman who still has more traditionally defined ideas about headship and submission... No wonder I'm still single.

I just got an email from my small group leader about possibly leading a small group this spring. That's interesting. Not entirely sure how I feel about that, but it's probably one of those things that God puts in your path because He knows that's what's best for you. We'll see.

Also, I has a picture up over there --------------------->

I will be praying for you as you seek the right fit for you.

And good luck with that Career Woman who still has traditional ideas on submission and headship...that would be one interesting gal...

I understand just wanting to work for a church. I have half a mind to find one that will hire me as custodian. I have more than enough Emmaus experience for that.

True, Eric. You clean a fine toilet.

Kim, the picture is actually one of yours from the wedding.

That picture doesn't count. We've all seen it before.

Also, recall that Jason offered you a job as a nanny.

Let me clarify that the nanny position is NOT live-in.

Oh, and we wouldn't pay you, either.

Why the reformed interpretation? The only set of presuppositions that fits in accurrately and adequately an answer to understanding the whole councel of God in the culture you live in. Apologetics is like and great structure you are seeing reality through that has a door or window out of whack. Before checking to see if your foundation is level and done correctly we try some fundementalist efforts at correcting the door or window. We need to set the foundation back in correct balance. Build you world and life view on a solid foundation and give God's creation its due. Stop this dualistic compartmentalising that my old Baptist armenian brothers tried to guilt me into believing. dad
